The equipment for heating the vest (101) and helmet (117) includes a control button (113), on a tear off VELCRO base, accessible to the user which enables adjustment of the thermal power. In case of ejection or escape from the vehicle connectors (114,115) allow rapid disconnection from the thermal conditioning unit (107) without damage to the system or loss of thermal fluid : The thermal unit includes cooling and heating generators actuated by a switch controlled by the driver. The connector (114) allows reconnection of the fluid feed pipe to the vest after it has been disconnected. This connector includes a flexible circular annular ring having two positions, one so that the connector can easily be reconnected and one which a pre-defined twisting pressure permits disconnection. The connector also includes an anti-return valve mechanically activated by action of connecting two halves of a connector, and not by the thermal fluid, so as to minimize load loss through the connection. The equipment also includes long sleeved vest composed of fine tubes (102) allowing circulation of a thermal fluid along at least part of the wearers torso; two fluid collectors (103, 104) for feeding and recuperation of the fluid; a thermal conditioning unit, a heat exchanger and a fluid circulation pump (111); an electrical supply source (109); a supply cable (110) connecting the thermal conditioning unit to the electrical supply.
