PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional gatepost mountable with various gatepost members such as an interphone and a name plate arm by means of fixing members such as fixing screws without damaging wiring disposed in a gatepost body provided with a functional block. SOLUTION: This functional gatepost 10 is provided with the hollow gatepost body 11 and the functional block 170 at least partially enclosed in the gatepost body 11, and has a wirable space 15 formed between the inner surface of the gatepost 11 and the side face of the functional block 170. The side face of a case 171 of the functional block 170 are protrusively provided with two ribs (dividing members) 12, and the space 15 is divided in space areas (wiring spaces) 13 without any projections of fixing screws 140 for an interphone device 130 and a name plate 120, and a space area (a non-wiring space) 14 with the projections of the fixing screws 140. Wiring 131 to the interphone device 130 and wiring 111 to a luminaire 110 are disposed in the space areas 13.
