The device has a housing and a pressure chamber. The housing (14) is of sheet metal, and the pressure chamber (16) is defined in a radial outward direction by an outer guide tube (23) of sheet metal. Before forming, the sheet metal has a wall thickness of 1,5mm to 2mm. Housing and chamber are of two interlocking coaxial parts, welded together, with an inner part (18) partially enclosed by an outer part (19).
