The drying device has at least one drying chamber (12) heated by a heating device (14) and enclosed by chamber walls (18,20,22,24) partly supported by a supporting structure (26). The heater is an at least partly integral part of the supporting structure. The supporting structure is made of a lattice with individual stiffening rods that transport the heating medium.
