Hydrophobicising agent for gypsum bound building material contains a support material comprising an organic or inorganic powder having a BET surface area of greater than 5 m2>/g and at least one organopolysiloxane having Si-bonded hydrogen atoms whereby each molecule has at least one Si-bonded hydrogen atom.
