An aqueous dispersion including a dispersible polymerizate, dispersed particle forming material of particle size 5-106> nm, and paint adjuvant and water is new. An aqueous dispersion includes (wt.%): (I) a dispersible polymerizate (0.1-80) from (A) polymerized styrene (5-95) and (B) at least one polymerized ethylenically unsaturated mono- or polycarboxylic acid (95-5), whose carboxyl groups are present 20 mole%, preferably 50-75 mole% as salts, and the remaining carboxyl groups are esterified with fluorinated aliphatic alcohols, (II) dispersed particle forming material of particle size 5-106> nm, and (III) paint adjuvant and water, where the quantities add up to 100%.
