The pre-grinding and feed device has a receiving funnel (1) in which pushers (2) can move up and down. The pushers narrow upwards in sectors, with steps (3) on them. There is a strip (8) on the funnel wall opposite the pushers which clamps against the pieces of material (7) being pressed upward by the pusher steps.
