The press has a compression tool(3) with a heater(5) and one or more workpiece holders(1). Independent claims are made for: a) a process for post forming a thermoplastic workpiece using the claimed press in which a workpiece(2) is formed by a heated punch(3) before and/or during the forming operation; b) a use of the equipment or process for post forming of the magnetic core of a coil, the core material being a thermoplastic powder and polymer composite.
