PURPOSE: A system for executing dialing through name speech recognition and managing a telephone directory using a wire telephone and a mobile phone in a remote SR(Speech Recognition) server is provided to carry out dialing with information obtained through the speech recognition and searching of a name after accessing a remote SR server through a generic mobile phone, not having a speech recognition function, or a wire telephone. CONSTITUTION: If a mobile phone(1) accesses a specific general directory number by radio communication(3) or a wire telephone(2) is connected to the general directory number by wired communication(4), a management server(11) acquires authentication from a database(12) with the caller ID of the mobile phone(1) or the wire telephone(2) and connects with a telephone directory(18). If the speaker of the mobile phone(1) or the wire telephone(2) utters a name, an SR server(14) searches the telephone directory(18) for the name and a phone number inquiry result(19). If the speaker applies for a speech synthesis service(20), a TTS server(21) synthesizes the name and provides it to the speaker. If there is no request for the speech synthesis service(20), the SR server transmits the name, a phone number and a management number to the speaker's mobile phone(1) or wire telephone(2) directly.
