PURPOSE: A method for refining bast fiber of a tenacious plant is provided which solves existing problems such as damage of inherent properties of fiber, difficulties in obtaining high quality bast fiber and environmental contamination due to generation of toxic wastewater. CONSTITUTION: The method for refining bast fiber of a tenacious plant comprises the steps of detecting aerobic bacteria from bast fiber of a tenacious plant, cultivating and proliferating the aerobic bacteria under the appropriate conditions that the bacteria are propagated, thereby obtaining an aerobic bacteria solution; detecting anaerobic bacteria from bast fiber of a tenacious plant, cultivating and proliferating the anaerobic bacteria under the appropriate conditions that the bacteria are propagated, thereby obtaining an anaerobic bacteria solution; mixing the obtained aerobic bacteria solution with the obtained anaerobic bacteria solution, maintaining a temperature of 38 to 40 deg.C and a pH of 6.0 to 7.0 so that the bacteria symbiose, thereby manufacturing a refined stock solution that two bacteria live together there; and refining a tenacious untanned skin by leaving the tenacious untanned skin in the refinery for 45 to 55 hours after infusing the mixed refined stock solution obtained in the above step into the refinery as maintaining a temperature of the refinery to 38 to 40 deg.C and a pH to 6.0 to 7.0 after infusing natural water into a refinery and then dipping a tenacious untanned skin to be treated into the refinery.
