<p>A representation of a view from a location, e.g. seat at a venue such as a stadium, is displayed using 3D imaging software. Venue specific information may be downloaded (<B>16, 20, 24</B>) to a computer or mobile phone or supplied via CD-ROM. A 2D plan allows selection (<B>22</B>) of a block of seats. The block plan shows each seat in the block with an indication showing whether that seat is taken. Upon selection (<B>26</B>), the user may choose to see the view from their seat (<B>30</B>). Spatial coordinates of the viewing position are calculated (<B>40</B>) relative to a fixed position and are passed to the 3D or virtual reality software which displays the seat view (<B>44</B>). An adjacent seat view may be calculated (<B>46</B>) without requiring further information. Views may include advertising including links to internet sites by clicking on the hoardings.</p> |
