PURPOSE: Provided is bentonite containing various kinds of colloidal trace minerals for foods and medical supplies to prevent and treat diseases, and to promote health and nutrition supplement. CONSTITUTION: Surface treatment of bentonite is performed to eliminate impurities like iron compounds and concomitant minerals for actively utilizing bentonite and raising the purity. Minerals are collected from a mineral deposit and pulverized into fine particles. The fine particles are purified by the surface treatment. The purified minerals are packaged as a natural state. The purified bentonite is used for a food additive or raw ingredient to functional foods, for a drink water treatment and for the treatment and prevention of diseases.
