PURPOSE: Three-way valve structure of a kimchi refrigerator is provided to minimize noise and to cut down costs by simplifying the structure of a three-way valve. CONSTITUTION: Three-way valve structure of a kimchi refrigerator includes: a three-way valve body having an intake port(36), a first and a second discharge ports(34,38) on the lower portion, and a shaft holder(18) in the center; a couple of motors(102,103) having stators(30) for covering the outside of the valve body and coils wound upon a bobbin, mounted with a distance to be turned on/off by DC voltage; a couple of rotatable shafts(14,15) having both sides inserted into the shaft and the shaft holder of the valve body respectively to be rotatable; a pair of permanent magnets(20) fixed to the rotatable shafts in the stators of the motors to be rotated by DC voltage from the motors; a couple of weights(22) inserted into each rotatable shaft and positioned on a side of each permanent magnet to close a three-way valve by gravity in power off; and balls(32) and ball carriers(24) inserted into the rotatable shafts respectively on a side of the weights and rotated together with the rotatable shafts to open/close the first and the second discharge port. When refrigerant is fed to a mature room and a storage compartment of a kimchi refrigerator, noise is not generated by the structure of the three-way valve. In addition, the kimchi refrigerator requires low repairing and maintenance costs.
