A method is provided for setting up a direct connection between a system user (1) and a selected forwarding location (11) from a variety of originating terminal devices connecting through a telephony network (10) to a variety of destination terminal devices. The method provides the system owner direct control and management of the arrangement and depth of a hierarchical structured group of options (9) selected by the system user. The system owner establishes a forwarded connection using toll-free numbers and directly manages the forwarded connections without an intermediary telephone system provider technician.
