A method of processing a silver halide color photographic material by processing with a color developing solution an imagewise exposed silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and immediately thereafter processing said photographic material with a bleach-fixing solution, wherein said bleach-fixing solution contains an imidazole compound represented by the following formula ( alpha ) and the replenishment rate of said bleach-fixing solution is 200 ml or less per m<2> of the photographic material: wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, a hydroxyalkyl group having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, or an alkenyl group.
