<p>The suitcase, consisting of a rigid moulded base (2) and hinged lid (3), has a textile lining (11, 12) covering the bottom and side walls of the base. The lining is held in place by an elastic retaining strip (16) with its two ends joined after threading through a hemmed sleeve (22) round the upper edge of the lining. The covered retaining strip sits in a recess formed by a shoulder (17) round the upper edge of the base. The lining can be in a double layer with an inner panel (23) round the sides of the base and be equipped with pockets (25).</p> |
