PURPOSE: A method for extracting an effective component being good for the skin from mud by removing salt and foreign material, mixing refined water and 1,3-butylene glycol and extracting is provided. Whereby the extract has skin moisturizing effect and cell growing effect. CONSTITUTION: Mud produced in Boryeong city placed in the central region of Korea is washed with refined water two times to remove salt and foreign material, mixed with refined water to produce a mixture, added to 3% by weight of 1,3-butylene glycol based on the mixture, agitated and extracted to produce cosmetic raw material.
