摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aramid fiber cord which is adhered to a polyurethane resin, has excellent adhesivity to the polyurethane resin, uses a treating agent to give the treated cord having a long pot life, when produced, and is especially suitable as a material for reinforcing power transmission resin belts. SOLUTION: This method for producing the aramid fiber cord, characterized by treating an aramid fiber cord with a treating liquid comprising an organic solvent solution containing a terminal NCO group-having polyurethane prepolymer as a main component and further containing polymethylenepolyphenylpolyisocyanate in a solid amount of 20 to 50 wt.% based on the prepolymer. Preferably, the method for producing the aramid fiber cord, further comprising thermally treating the treating liquid-adhered aramid fiber cord at a temperature of 120 to 160 deg.C for 60 to 120 sec, and then thermally treating the treated fiber cord at a temperature of 200 to 220 deg.C for 60 to 120 sec.
