PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printer with a technique whereby various kinds of usage can be selected upon necessities to enable the ink-jet printer to print a fluorescent paint to make images seen good even in a dark place at night, etc. SOLUTION: This ink-jet printer has a host computer part including an application for forming images and a printer driver, and a printer part with printing heads, etc. A selecting means for normal ink printing and luminous ink printing is set to the printer driver or the printer part. One of two kinds of image data formed by the application is printed by the normal ink printing head to a paper, while the other data is printed to the paper by the luminous ink printing head at one time. Alternatively, the normal ink printing and the luminous ink printing are carried out by two printing operations through replacement of the printing heads, or the luminous ink printing is carried out with the use of one-color data among normal printing images by the selecting means. |
