PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desalinating method for sea water, capable of easily removing salts from seawater at a low cost without removing minerals. SOLUTION: This desalinating method for sea water comprises a first process where seawater to be desalinated is frozen, a second process where a part of the brackish ice is melted, a third process where the remaining brackish ice after the second process is melted and then frozen, and a fourth process where a part of the brackish ice frozen in the third process is melted.
