PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slope travelling vehicle capable of smoothly travelling in dusty circumstances. SOLUTION: A rack rail 4 is arranged on a slope in parallel to a travel rail 3. The rack rail has rod rack pins 4c arranged at equal spaces perpendicularly to the slope between an upper plate 4a and a lower plate 4b arranged in parallel to each other. Pinions 5 for a carriage 1 are engaged with the rack pins of the rack rail, and no dust and foreign matters are accumulated on engagement portions. One carriage has four pinions, each of which is independently driven and braked by a driving servo motor, a disk brake 9 and an electromagnetic brake 7a, separately. The pinions are rotated at separate rotating speeds to give small rotational differences between the pinions, whereby the carriage can smoothly travel even on a curved track.
