PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking assisting utensil which is easy to use by improving the operability of the brake, and of which safety is further increased. SOLUTION: In the running brake mechanism, by operating only an operating lever 8 for respective grips 6, the operating force is transmitted to the brake unit of one of the rear wheels 4 through a wire connector 17. The operating force is transmitted to the brake unit of the other rear wheel 4 from the wire connector 17 for the constitution of this walking assisting utensil. In addition, in the parking brake mechanism as well, by operating one of operating means 18, the operating force is transmitted respectively to the brake units in both rear wheels 4 and 4 through a wire 16 and the wire connector 17 for the constitution of the walking assisting utensil. |
