PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and instrument for computed tomographic imaging for reducing kinetic artifact and radiation exposure to patient. SOLUTION: This method comprises the step of axially scanning a part of a patient's body in order to image the part of the patient's body by a CT imaging system constituted so as to scan the patient's body at various periodic view angles (54), the step of gate-driving a radiation source to ON over less than 360 deg. (θ) within the 360 deg. view angle period of the axial scanning, the step of collecting the image data for the part of the patient's body for at least a part of the time where the radiation source is gate-driven to ON, and the step of assembling the collected image data into the image of the part of the patient's body. |
