PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain information of the weave diagram of a woven fabric in a short time and to make a design drawing of woven fabric (pattern figure) by subjecting taken full-color image data to subtractive color conversion by an error diffusion method. SOLUTION: A full-color pattern such as photography, picture, design, etc., is taken by a scanner and the taken full-color picture element number is changed so as to adjust the pattern to the numbers of warps and wefts of woven fabric. The full-color image data are subjected to subtractive color to eight colors produced from three primary colors by using an error diffusion method. Consequently a texture point figure can be completed. The eight colors are eight colors of white, red, blue, green, yellow, cyan and magenta. Consequently a woven fabric approximate to an actual color tone can be woven.
