摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for manufacturing zeolite X with most of the replaceable site occupied with lithium and trivalent and/or bivalent cations and zeolite X improved as compared with the well-known zeolite having the same heat stability and crystallinity, effective especially as an adsorbent of the nitrogen in a gaseous mixture and suitable for the non-low-temperature separation of air. SOLUTION: (a) Zeolite is suspended in water, (b) the obtained suspension is brought into contact simultaneously and/or successively with one or plural solutions containing the compounds of bivalent and/or trivalent ions in a rapid mixer to replace the replaceable cations of the suspended zeolite with one or plural bivalent and/or trivalent ions, and (c) the replaceable cations of zeolite obtained in stage (b) are replaced with lithium.</p>
