PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly print high-quality images by shortening a time for transmitting image data to a color printer. SOLUTION: The printing system is constituted of the printing control apparatus for converting printing images to data expressed by the presence/absence of dots of every pixel and the printing apparatus for forming various dots upon receipt of the data. The printing control apparatus converts the images to data of seven kinds of ink dots including a yellow(Y) ink and a dark yellow(DY) ink of a lower lightness than a lightness of the Y ink. For pixels to form DY dots, the converted data is rewritten to simultaneously form Y dots and the other predetermined dots. The printing apparatus receives the rewritten data and prints images by forming DY dots in place of these dots for pixels to simultaneously form Y dots and the other predetermined dots. Data can be transmitted quickly because supplying data of DY dots to the printing apparatus is eliminated. The printing apparatus can print highquality images by decoding the DY dots.
