PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous method capable of synthesizing a 3-halomethyloxetane compound from a 3-hydroxymethyloxetane compound in high yield in a simple process needing no complicated operation. SOLUTION: The above purpose is achieved by the following method for synthesizing a 3-halomethyloxetane compound: an organic sulfonic acid halide is made to contact with a 3-hydroxymethyloxetane compound in the presence of an organic base; and the hydrohalogenic acid salt of the organic base of the byproduct is used as the halogen source for the 3-halomethyloxetane compound. |
