<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover for an air bag to be installed within an instrument panel, front and side pillars, or the like, which does not break and splash at the expansion of the air bag and has an excellent rigid feel and thermal deformation resistance. SOLUTION: This cover for the air bag consists of an upper member (I) and its lifting member (II) composed of the following materials: The upper member (I): A thermoplastic of 550 to 1,300 MPa in modules of elasticity in bending and >=10 KJ/m2 in Izod impact strength at -30 deg.C. The lining member (II): A thermoplastic elastomer of 6 to 20 g/10 minutes, >=15 MPa in tensile breaking strength, 250 to 650 MPa in modulus of elasticity in bending and >=30 KJ/m2 in Izod strength at -40 deg.C.</p> |
