ROLLING MILL PROVIDED WITH AUTOMATIC GAGE CONTROL SYSTEM AND ROLLING METHOD USING THE SAME SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling mill provided with an automatic gage control system by which the thickness of the object material of rolling is accurately rolled into the target thickness from the tip to the rear end of the object material of rolling and a rolling method using the same system. SOLUTION: In the rolling mill provided with the automatic gage control system for performing the rolling method, based on a predicted rolling load which is predicted from the rolling condition of the object material of rolling, the amount of mill spring of the rolling mill itself is determined. Before the rolling of the object material of rolling, a command for decreasing the roll gap of the rolling mill by the amount of the mill spring from the target value is given to the automatic gage control system.
