PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door device of an elevator having a reduced dimension in the rotating axis direction of a door closing motor. SOLUTION: A pair of pulleys 41 and 42 openably moving a car door 6 are pivotally disposed on the upper side of the car door 6 for opening and closing an access port 2 in a car chamber 1 of the elevator. At least one of the pulleys 41 and 42 is fixed to a rotor 50 of an outer rotor type door closing motor 40. Then, a stator 52 is fixed to the car chamber 1 side, and the pulleys 41 and 42 are rotated so as to open and close the car door 6.
