摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus by which metallic powder having an average diameter smaller than the diameter of heretofore particles and having a narrower width of a grain size distribution in a gas atomization method and a method for the same. SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing the atomized metallic powder is characterized in that (1) an ejection hole of high-pressure gas faces downward and exists on a circumference R of <=50 mm in diameter; (2) the center lines 5-1 of the ejection faces a vertex 6 of a cone having a circle where the ejection hole 3 exists as its base; (3) the vertex angleαof the cone is <=40 deg.; (4) a molten metal nozzle 2 inclines in a rangeβfrom 20 to 100 deg. with a perpendicularly downward direction and (5) is arranged by setting a distance L from the front end of the gas ejection hole in a position where the molten metal 4 first collide against the inside surface side of the cone described above at <=30 mm.
