PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for entrance of an elevator allowing easy addition of functions and sure detection of a detected body on a landing side. SOLUTION: This safety device for entrance of an elevator comprises a first detecting means 50 disposed at the entrance of a car 19, having a first light emitting element 5 and a first light receiving element 6, and outputting a first detection signal, and a second detecting means 16 detecting a detected body 12 on the landing 23 side and outputting a second detection signal to the upper side of the entrance of the car 19. Based on the first and second detection signals, a control means 13 controls car doors 1 and 2 and landing doors 20 and 21, thereby realizing the fine opening and closing control of the elevator doors at a low cost.
