PURPOSE: A structure and a method for extending an apartment house are provided to maximize the life extension and estate value of the apartment house by increasing the area of a unit household. CONSTITUTION: A structure for extending an apartment house includes a newly-established basis extended on an extension line of the end of each lower basis of the existing structure, a newly-established support structure(210) supported by the upper part of the newly-established basis and extended on an extension line of the end of the existing structure at predetermined width, and a newly-established balcony(220) extended on an extension line of the end of the existing balcony(150) at predetermined width and having both ends supported by the newly-established support structure.
