PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject trimming machine enabling both the roots and stems of a bulbous crop to be cut off in high trimming accuracy. SOLUTION: This trimming machine has such a scheme that a root cutting device situated above a 2nd carrying means for carrying, through deliveredly nipping, the bulb of a bulbous crop carried by a 1st carrying means and a stem cutting device situated below the 2nd carrying means are each composed of a pair of left and right disc blades rotating oppositely to each other, these two pairs of disc blades are placed within the nippingly carrying span for the 2nd carrying means in such a way as to be shifted from each other in the carrying direction, and both the disc blades for the stem cutting device is set in a forwardly inclined posture, the front and rear sites thereof are provided with gauge wheels to be abutted on a bulb, and the above disc blades are allowed to make a light vertical motion in a parallel fashion by the aid of the vertical motion of the gauge wheels.
