PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and surely drop half molten metal from a holding container when loading the half molten metal into an injection sleeve in manufacturing of the half molten metal. SOLUTION: The half molten metal is loaded into the injection sleeve and the emptied holding container is cooled. After the inside surface of the holding container is subjected to air blowing, the residues of the metal and coating agent stuck to the inside surface of the holding container are cleared by a rotary brush. Further, the holding container is heated at 150 to 300 deg.C, more preferably 150 to 220 deg.C and thereafter the coating agent is sprayed to the inside surface of the holding container to foam a coating agent layer of a uniform thickness on the inside surface of the holding container, by which the inside surface of the holding container is protected from the molten metal poured into the holding container in the next stage. The secure fixation of the metal to the inside surface of the holding container is prevented in the manufacture of the half molten metal.
