PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize and improve reliability by preventing occurrence of electric conduction fault. SOLUTION: The buckle is provided with an insertion passage 5b through which a tongue plate 4 is let in and out, a base 2 having a pair of sidewalls 2b, 2c standing on both sides of the insertion passage, a latch 17 supported in free swing between an unlocking position and a locking position according to the insertion and the removal of the tongue plate 4, a latch spring 20 to hold a locking state of the latch 17, a canceling button 16 to cancel the locking state, a ejector 6 which moves according to the insertion and the removal of the tongue plate 4 and a switch 30 to detect the engaging state of the tongue plate 4. The switch 30 is installed at the exterior bottom of the base 2.
