PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the slide rail of a chair type stairway elevator device capable of reducing the moving action of an end part guide rail, stabilizing the storage state of the end part guide rail in strength, eliminating a projected portion on the side surface of the rail, and minimizing the occupied space on the down stairs side of a stairway. SOLUTION: A slide member 31 movable in and out of the end part of a guide rail 21 is disposed at the end part of the guide rail 21, and an end part guide rail 21a is installed on the slide member 31 through a plurality of swing links 36. When the slide member 31 is drawn out of the end part of the guide rail 21 and the swing links 36 are raised in the extension direction of the guide rail 21, the end part guide rail 21a is disposed extendingly at the end part of the guide rail 21. When the swing links 36 are raised to the guide rail 21 side and the slide member 31 is pulled into the guide rail 21, the end part guide rail 21a is raised above the guide rail 21 so that the end part guide rail 21a is positioned above the guide rail 21. Thus, the occupied space on the down stairs side of the stairway can be minimized.
