PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cationic electrodeposition paint that has high anticorrosion property and rust prevention properties without using a toxic rust prevention pigment, for example, lead compounds, particularly can form a coated film of high anticorrosion properties and rust prevention properties even on the materials that cannot satisfactorily attain or does not undergo the chemical conversion treatment. SOLUTION: The objective cationic electrodeposition paint is characterized by including a rust-preventive agent of at least one compound selected from the group consisting the compounds of metallic elements of the period 4 or the period 5 or the period 6 in the group 3 in the periodic table and a resin composition bearing sulfonium group and propargyl group. In an embodiment, the content of the rust-preventive agent is 0.03-10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the resin composition on the solid basis, calculated as the elementary metal.
