PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-axis-movement machine tool that suppresses angular moment (yawing phenomenon) on a Z-axis plane posed by high-speed column movement, and that can thus reduce early wear of a guide member, maintain positioning accuracy and ensure precision machining. SOLUTION: The three-axis-movement machine tool K is so constructed that two guide members 2 along which a column 3 is moved in a longitudinal Y-axis direction are arranged outside the displacement of the center-of-gravity point of the column that results from movement of a saddle 5, and that two column moving ball screws 7 are arranged near the two guide members 2. This construction suppresses the angular moment (yawing phenomenon) of the column in a Z-axis plane.
