PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide flux-containing wire for welding capable of improving the moisture absorption resistance of a welding material and reducing diffusible hydrogen in weld metal. SOLUTION: In flux-containing wire for welding obtained by filling flux into an outer surface made of steel, at least one kind of organic matter selected from the groups consisting of mineral oil, synthetic oil, oils and fats, fluorine oil, chain compounds, cyclic compounds, organic acid, alcohol, phenol, ether, ester, aldehyde, amine and ketone is adhered to the surfaces of the flux grains.
