PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to prevent a strong or weak refrigeration of the refrigerator by adjusting an amount of cold air discharged to a refrigeration compartment depending on the ambient temperature of the refrigerator. CONSTITUTION: An indoor temperature of a refrigeration compartment(11) is kept regular when a user adjusts the circulating amount of cold air through a circulating cold air adjustment unit(30) depending on the ambient temperature of the refrigerator. If the ambient temperature of the refrigerator is relatively low, the user slides a control plate(35) of the circulating cold air adjustment unit in a closing direction. The opening area of a discharge port(24) is relatively small. As a small amount of cold air is circulated toward an evaporator(27) through a cold air circulating duct(17), a small amount of cold air is supplied into the refrigeration compartment. Thereby, the refrigeration compartment is prevented from over-refrigeration. If the ambient temperature is relatively high, the control plate is slid toward an opening direction. A large amount of cold air is supplied into the refrigeration compartment through the large opening area of the discharge port. The refrigeration compartment is prevented from weak refrigeration. Therefore, the refrigerator is prevented from strong or weak refrigeration as the user adjusts the amount of cold air supplied to the refrigeration compartment depending on the ambient temperature.
