摘要 PURPOSE: A web access frequency measurement system and method is provided to construct a database of objective and helpful web access statistic data classified according to meaningful items based on user's personal data and to offer advertisement based on the statistic data so that it can enhance a timeliness of an advertisement and offer the advertiser more business chances. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a client(100), a web server(200), and a measurement server(300). The client(100) includes a login module(110), a web browser(120), a URL handler(130), a URL log database(140), and a URL log categorization module(150). The login module(110) processes a user approval by accessing the measurement server(300). The URL handler(130) extracts URLs of web pages according to a web surfing, and the URL log database(140) stores the extracted URLs. The URL log categorization module(150) categorizes the URL log file stored at the database(140), and periodically offers the categorized data to the measurement server(300). The measurement server(300) includes a user data server(310), a user management database(320), a traffic statistics server(330), and a traffic statistics database(340). The traffic statistics server(330) receives the categorized URL log file from the URL log categorization module(150), analyzes the log file, offers the analysis result to the user management database(320), and offers hierarchically classified traffic data to the traffic statistics database(340).
