PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high activity/high selectivity catalytic composition which is obtained by incorporating a noble metal component such as ruthenium and rhodium in the structure of multiple oxide having ionic conductivity, has a widely dispersed state of the noble metal component, is excellent in stability even at high temperature in oxygen existing atmosphere or the like, for example, of partial oxidation reaction being one of reformation reaction and keeps high activity and to provide a method for manufacturing the catalytic composition and a method for using the catalytic composition as a fuel reforming catalyst and an electrode catalyst. SOLUTION: This catalytic composition is the perovskite type multiple oxide expressed by the rational formula ABO3 or the general formula A'1-xA"xB '1-yB"yO3 (wherein A' is one constituent element of A and La and/or Ce; A" is the other constituent element of A and at least one selected from the group consisting of La, Ca, Sm, Ce, Sr, Ba and Pr; B' is one constituent element of B and at least one selected from the group consisting of Co, Fe, Mn and Gd; B" is the other constituent element of B and Ru and/or Rh; 0.1<x<=0.5; 0.05<y<=1). |
