PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the life of a cold cathode-ray tube by preventing the operation of the cold cathode-ray tube, which irradiates a photocatalyst filter with ultraviolet rays to decompose a malodorous component, at the time of low temperature. SOLUTION: A temperature detecting thermistor 12 is provided to the gap between the cold cathode lamp 11b of the cold cathod-ray tube 11 and the protective tube 11e covering the cold cathode lamp 11b and a relay 15 opened and closed by a control part 6a is provided to a circuit for applying voltage to the cold cathode-ray tube 11 and the control part 6a opens the relay 15 when the detection value from the thermistor 12 is less than predetermined temperature to prevent the application of voltage to the cold cathode-ray tube 11. |
