TENSION CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stabilizing the tension of a sheet having a rapping hole. SOLUTION: A dancer roll 13 on which a sheet is carried is arranged movable up and down between sheet delivering means 6 and sheet receiving means 8. The receiving speed of the receiving means is controlled corresponding to the height of the dancer roll. In details, the sheet is intermittently delivered from the delivering means 6, and the receiving speed is faster as the dancer roll is moved lower with the delivery of the sheet and the receiving speed is slower as the dancer roll is moved upper with the reception of the sheet. The dancer roll 13 movable up and down in the form of a circle stops the reception of the sheet when the dancer roll 13 is moved upper than the center 19 of the circle. A cylinder 17 moved forward an backward in the vertical direction is used to control the load of the dancer roll 13 on the sheet.
