PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid increase in frictional resistance and to suppress abnormal lifting of a belt to secure a smooth operation of a conveyer. SOLUTION: The air lifting belt conveyer is supplied with air between a carrier-side trough 2 and a belt 1 and between a return-side trough 3 and the belt 1 and runs the belt 1 in a lifting state. The belt 1 is formed so that a cloth-like core material 11 is grabbed between an upper cover rubber 12 and a lower cover rubber 13 and thickness of the upper cover rubber 12 is substantially equal to that of the lower cover rubber 13.
