<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly mount a lock device on an opening and closing body. SOLUTION: In this lock device for vehicle, a base plate 12 to be inserted into the opening and closing body through an opening formed on the outer mounting surface of the opening and closing body is provided on a lock body 7 to be fixed to the mounting surface, an operating mechanism 13, a cable 14 connected thereto, and an actuator 15 are provided on the base plate 12, and the cable 14 is retained on the base plate 12 so as to extend in the direction inclining sideward to the direction orthogonal to the mounting surface. The housing 15a of the actuator 15 is fixed to the base plate 12 with the longitudinal direction A being inclined substantially in the same direction as the direction of the cable 14.</p> |
