PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a syringe outer cylinder less prone to be damaged even when a highly viscous liquid is injected under high pressure. SOLUTION: A reinforcing rib having a concengtric circular reinforcing part and radial reinforcing parts is provided to the rear surface of the flange of the syringe outer cylinder or the flange is made double or a thick-walled part is provided to the root part of the front surface of the flange or a taper reinforcing part is provided to the front surface of the flange to prevent the damage to the syringe outer cylinder.
