PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium and the recording method of the same, capable of indicating recording without applying any mechanical street upon effecting the indicating recording on a card, reduced substantially in an affection to the indicating recording even when a thick protecting layer, such as an over sheet or the like, is formed and capable of selecting the indicating recording having two different colors. SOLUTION: The information recording medium 1A is provided with a substrate 2, a first light absorbing layer 3 formed at least on one side of the substrate, a first heat sensitive color developing layer 4 formed on the first light absorbing layer, an insulating intermediate layer 5 formed on the first heat sensitive color developing layer, a second light absorbing layer 6 formed on the intermediate layer and a second heat sensitive color developing layer 7, formed on the light absorbing layer and different in a color developing temperature from that of the first heat sensitive color developing layer upon being heated. Laser beams are emitted from the upper side of the information recording medium while selecting the strength of the same whereby colors are developed selectively in the first heat sensitive color developing layer or the second heat sensitive color developing layer to effect the indicating recording. |
