PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent liquid composition which can be distilled and recycled and has sufficient cleansing characteristics. SOLUTION: This detergent liquid composition characterized by containing 10 to 60 wt.% of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and 90 to 40 wt.% of an aromatic compound component containing a 10 or 11C aromatic hydrocarbon compound as a main component, especially preferably having a 5% distilled-out temp. of 180 to 205 deg.C, a 95% distilled-out temp. of 195 to 235 deg.C and a difference of <=35 deg.C between the 5% distilled-out temp. and the 95% distilled-out temp.
